The difference is these games are all completed from 2hours upto 10 hours apart fromCOTD
I think 10 hours is pretty good for games that cost 10 euros.
The original N-Gage's games cost 50 euros each but I don't think any of them had anything close to 50 hours of gameplay.
Bear in mind these are phone games, that's why they have such low prices. They're meant for people to play for ten or twenty minutes a day on the way to work. They're not meant to be played in multi-hour sessions at home.
It sounds like you'd be happier buying a PSP if you're looking for a more console-like gaming experience.
I'm not trying to be horrible about N-gage i buy some of the games but also the mixture of game genres is also a put off for many they need to be catering for all types a RPG would be nice
They did do loads of RPGs on the original N-Gage, and they got good reviews, but I think the problem was that most people don't like playing such in-depth games on phones. The phone games which do best are the kind where you can play in very short bursts, which RPGs tend not to do.
Having said that, I do enjoy playing TibiaME which is an MMORPG that runs on N-Gage-compatible phones.
I do seriously think you'd be happier with a PSP though. I'm not trying to be funny or anything, but it sounds like you would get more of what you're looking for from a console than a phone gaming platform.
N-Gage is NOT a console, people aren't going to buy N-Gage-compatible phones because of the games. Most of the people who do buy games will be looking for quick simple stuff they can play on the train.
Without counting the games anounced for the next 2 weeks and games released with launch of N-gage the release rate is dreadful
Have you ever seen that sketch from Life Of Brian, where they discuss how dreadful the Romans are? 😊
Seriously though, they haven't really launched N-Gage yet because the application isn't built into phones yet. When it happens this autumn, the userbase should jump from the current tens of thousands to many millions.
It's entirely through this embedding which is the reason N-Gage stands a chance of becoming a major gaming platform, because Nokia's phones tend to sell quite well so even people who've never heard of N-Gage would be buying N-Gage-compatible phones.
What we're getting at the moment is really an extended preview for people who can be bothered to go to the trouble of manually installing the application. Most people in the future will only come across N-Gage if it's already installed on their phones when they buy it.
But like I said before, the current release rate is MUCH better than on the original N-Gage, and the games available are also much better. It took Nokia a year before they started releasing games worth buying on the original N-Gage, most of the stuff before then was absolute trash.
World Rally Championship, I'm a sucker for rally games
It's the official WRC licence apparently, though that makes me a little bit nervous as big licence games have a reputation for not being very good.
Incidentally, the original N-Gage's version of Colin Mcrae was absolutely excellent, one of the best phone games ever. It looked and played like the Playstation version.
