Unlock Nokia 9210 from Orange UK with DLR-2 cable?

Hi, i need help please. Can i unlock 9210e from orange with the provided data cable which comes with the sales package? What software can I use? Thank you

The DLR-2 cable is an FBUS cable. So no, there is almost no chance of you unlocking your phone with that cable.

You either need an MBUS cable or a flasher cable of some sort to unlock the 9210 (or even both, me memory's a bit off today...) and the partial flash files to unlock it. If you manage to find 9210 partial flashes anywhere, do tell me, because finding any sort of stuff for the Communicator can be quite hard!

thank you for you reply

will the fbus cable work on logomanager? can you recommend an application similar to logomanager which i can use to manipulate startup logo, operator logo etc. thank you

Nope, the 9210/9110 are quirky in that LogoManager just can't work with them on the provided FBUS cable; you need an MBUS cable. If you're not in the mood for paying through your nose for a prebuilt cable, you could always try making one yourself, with the 9210 connector being the trickiest component to find....

There are a number of other programs, but LogoManager is the only one I've really used, so I can't comment on the other programs. If you're looking for something free (and you have some experience with Linux), try Gnokii . I've never used it though....
