by doing what we need

Unofficial news that Sony had planned to release an Arabic localization software this month end or by march. 😃

I agree with you nim_181. I have an idea about creating an "Association of Forgotten and Offended SonyEricsson Mobile Users". 😉 The latter will prepare an open letter to SonyEricsson asking them to pay more attention to emerging markets (I'm from Kazakhstan, Central Asia) and publish it wherever possible. This letter might become a stone thrown into quiet lake and may push SE to develop support for all languages.

ARABIC LOCALIZATION ...... i've been waiting ...
as you said guys ... is it really going to be an Arabic Localization Version Software on the p800 soon ... if any one has any idea from which Site or Company please ... Post a reply
thanx

Here is a copy and paste of the email I sent to SonyEricsson and the email I got back from them:

Thank you for contacting Sony Ericsson Customer Care Center.

Answer:
"At the moment there are no plans from SE to support Arabic on the P800. Nevertheless, the possibility is there for 3rd parties to develop and bring to market Arabic applications for the P800".

/Rana

DISCLAIMER: i am not a programmer, & know nothing about programming.

since the P800 OS was not hatched from scratch, & since SymbianOS was out there for a long while & since Localisation is provided on those other older Symbian base phone/pdas...

how come P800 didn't have localisation from the start?!

couldn't they have modified the available localisation programs?

i'd sign that "Association of Forgotten and Offended SonyEricsson Mobile Users"
