E51 phonebook & receiving calls

2 replies · 2,657 views · Started 18 June 2008

I've input all my contacts telephone numbers in the phone book to include the full country dialing code (ie. +61xxxxxxxxxx) in front of the number. However I've noticed that when i receive an incoming call, it only shows the local number, excluding the country code, and hence is not recognised by the phonebook.

Is there any solution to this, other than changing all my inputs? It would create a further hassle when I'm roaming overseas and need to put the +61 back in again!

Hello,

Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with the phone itself. :frown:

I've used the E51 on multiple networks and it seems this is something to do with the network itself. I always get the number shown without the full IDD code but the name displays correctly since it is dependent on the last 7 digits in the saved number.

Hey thanks for your reply. I figured out what the problem was. I had the number saved under 2 different contacts, and the phone couldn't decide which contact name to show. So instead, it chose to just display the number!
