O2 3G Signal

Hi,

I have an N95 8GB on o2, at my place of work on my desk i normally have a good 5/6 bars 3G signal, however today i have none.

ALSO i just saw my phone had it symbol to say that there was a data connection going on, but when i grabbed the handset it switched off!?!

I have had the phone a few months now and it's never been like this before. I will say that i have a had a few probs with o2 recently and my data plan bolt on was discussed but i dont think that is the problem.

Any ideas/suggestions as to why this is occuring? Where do i find the switch to toggle 3G on/off?

Thanks

If your data plan is disabled from the operator for any reason, that will not prevent the phone from connecting, but there will no service or data response. Also seeing the 3G signal does not matter with that. Switching the phone off is the strange thing, and if you use your phone for more than 3 months, I advise you to reset it. S60 3rd Ed environment malfunctions after time of heavy use, or at least that what happen with my E61i. I reset my phone at least every 3 months, to have fresh, fast OS.
You can reset your phone by typing *#7370# in the standby srceen. Remember to backup your contact and sync PIM data with yout PC. Don't backup and restore your phone memory after reset, in such case no change.
If you need more detailed steps, I'm happy to do so.... 😊
