Hi,
After I installed my phone lock and an application lock, I found programs I did not know I had. I found a program called Navigation, another says landmarks, and another says methods (positioning); which gives a couple of choices for either a Bluetooth GPS or Network Based Positioning. How do I use these programs? Find Instructions for them, etc?
There is nothing under my help files and I can only get in these programs after I turn off the tap top and add them to my shortcuts for my keypad. They are not in any folder, apps, or installed file.
I would like to be able to set up my phone to use as a real time GPS to track my young daughter as she walks to/from her Elementary school. She does not want Mommy following her anymore. 😮 She is not old enough to be responsible for a bunch of electronic gadgets and I just want to able to slip it in her tiny bag she always carries around her waist so I can make sure she gets home safe. Her bag is barely big enough for the phone. It would be best if it were small & discreet so she would not be tempted to play with it. I know it sounds silly but she wants to walk to school alone and I am a mommy, I worry. I want it to work indoors too, just for those times when kids decide to go home with friends without telling us. My carrier does not offer any services like this yet. I am stuck in an expensive phone contract and I cannot afford another new phone so I would really appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks for your time! Sincerely, Jen
PS I already brought her a couple of the watch GPS unit I wasn't impressed and she ended not wearing it. It wouldn't work indoors at her school, etc. so I hope there is a way to get the phone work. Thanks again.
Confused Newby to Nokia N75. GPS ?
GPS will generally not work inside, although some of the more powerful receivers can get a signal in some indoor areas, but not always.
You are not really able to real time track with phones, there are bits of software that allow it to a degree, but you would be much better off looking for a dedicated solution, other than the watches of course.
