Don't know the software side of things, but I have a bluetooth GPS receiver which I use with my N73 that's ideal for hiking, even came with a lanyard to hang round your neck! Called a Navicore its small and portable. It works well with TomTom, not sure about hiking sofware

Look at the Nokia sports tracker app.

Not sure how these others work, but the sports tracker calculates/maps direction, speed, altitude. Does a nice little diagram of the route you've taken.

hey guys, i got my n73 a few days ago.

was wondering if i could turn this phone to my on road GPS while
i am driving ? I'm in Australia. How can i go about doing this in the
cheapest or Free way ?

thanks

Theres no free way, unless you want to use the data intensive free java navigation programs. They are generally rubbish imo.

Buy one of the good ones (Garmin/copilot 7), get a decent car holder and power cable, and your sorted.

I've got garmin xt on my n73 too but I have a problem. When I put it to calculate a route of about 2000 km or more...at the end of it's "calculation", it gives me an error:"unable to calculate route. Not enough memory"....but why? i don't have any aplications opened...just garmin xt...i've got the city navigator europe nt map...should i hard reset the bloody phone?
