General N73 sluggishness, replacement?

HI, have had my N73 a couple of years now and its always been generally sluggish - have tried upgrades to firmware, deleting content, but nothing has really helped. I assume this is how the N73 is (sorry, should mention I've had three replacement handsets in that time due to various faults so its not the hardware)

I love what I can do with the N73 but hate the lack of response. Trying to switch to camera mode takes 8 seconds - quite a long time when you want to knock off a quick picture. But worse is the amount of time it can take to open a txt message - you can see the phone clunking through the different menus etc. Its annoying.

So, I'm guessing (as my firmware's up to date according to Nokia sw updater) that this is just the speed of the processor.

What's the replacement for the n73 which retains the functionality (I use mine for tomtom, camera and video camera) but is more responsive.

THanks in advance

cheers- having been to have a look there, what about the n82? is that a faster processor than the n73? - is that what it boils down to, the processor speed, assuming these are all running the same OS...

Cheers in advance

Nope, not quite the same OS - its updated on the N96/N82, etc.

Faster processor though - N73 runs at around 206mHz, N82 runs at 300+ mHz and has a dedicated graphics processor.

thanks, that's great info - so th 82 would be quicker with the gfx and has a faster processor anyway. so looks like the way to go.

Cheers again.
