After upgrading to the new firmware my N95-8gb developed a strange problem. Sometimes when I shut it down the time and date is lost and I have to re-enter it.
This also happens most of the time when I take the battery out. Found a similar thread about an N73 doing this (http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/57204/) but no solution.
Anybody else having this problem?
have same problem with my n95-1 after sending it to NSC to have my LCD replaced
Do you have "Network Operator Time" switched to the on position?
No it's not. I don't think it was before either. This only started happening after the update.
Worth a try, easy fix if it works.
Nope it's still doing it even with "network operator time"
Most probably a hardware problem. Ask a Nokia repair center to take a look.
My n95 classic is giving me the same problem. Someone in the other thread mentioned that the problem could be with the internal back-up battery.
Anybody know if those internal backup batteries are user-replaceable?
To keep others updated.., I called the Nokia Customer Care/Repair center for advisement. They said to try restoring Factory Settings on the phone.
I tried that. Still no luck. The phone still asks me for date & time after booting up.
