does anyone have problems with their 9210 already? problems regarding overuse? what i mean is the speakers blowing out cause you play too much music or the keys on the pad not responding anymore
i used my old 9110 to type and play sounds alot and after a year i had those problems. is the 9210 as fragile?
are the speakers or the rubber thing inside the pad replaceable
Yeah, i remember those 9110 speakers
Someone has told problems of front side keypads, but that's usually dust and other stuff..
The speaker and connectors of 9210 is quite different that it was in 9110.. and should work at least over warranty.. as usually..
also there is not anymore that soft display connector, so i think it should work for long time also.

i use the front for typing messages...a lot of messages!!(wish they had predictive text) & just a few days back my no 3 & no 0 keys became hard to use, i really had to press them hard. I took it to the nokia dealer & they opened it & i think just cleaned it or something, but now it works perfectly. Maybe it was just dust.
im having a litle problem with my ENTER key, its too senstive,if i press it once it automatically getspressed twice & then opens unwanted apps. its very irritating especially with task manager, so now i use the GO TO key on the right of the screen instead of enter.
no other problem so far & i play bounce & other games where one tends to press down hard on the space key , but its working absolutely smoooth.

I wouldn't recommend anyone trying, but mine has even survived a 1 metre drop to a hard floor. Pretty durable hardware IMHO.

Mine has survived numerous similar falls, you'd think I'd be able to hold onto something so big.

count my praise too
mine too... it has survived many falls... I dropped it for more than six times already and whala, still alive and functioning. Got no bugs and malfunction after disasters. hardware is tough as 6250!
Mine has survived a lot of falls too, but since everyone has already confirmed this to be one of its qualities, here's my story
The other week I put my 9210 on my coat as I was giving a lecture. I had to rush out when the lecture was over, so I grabbed my coat and the communicator flew in a wide arch and fell at least from 1.5m with a huge momentum. That it didn't quite survive...
The screen backlight went dead. You could see it come on for a second when the lid was opened, but then it went out.
I could still see what was on the display, but barely. I took the phone to the closest Club Nokia repair -shop and told the guy to give me a call if fixing it would cost a lot of money.
The next day (I kid you not), they called me and told me it was ready to pick up. I went there (two minute walk from my office) and the phone was working and in mint condition again. The cost? Nothing... naturally it was covered by warranty
So I have to say Club Nokia does wonders here in Finland. I want to officially express my gratitude.
On a side note, I have had some small dust between the TFT and the front glass, so it can't be removed by simply cleaning the display. The guy told me that would probably be covered by warranty as well if I wanted to have it fixed. He couldn't promies me anything though, because he would probably have to exchange the whole screen, which costs around 450 euros.
So I was quite relieved after having heard how some of you guys waited months for your phones back. I got my software updated at the same time with a helpful note stating I wouldn't be able to use the applications on my 9210 -cd rom anymore.

On the question of durability... how safe is it to use the phone (as a phone) in the rain?
Does water easily get into the unit?
Well mine is used in all conditions and it hasn't broken it, though I wouldn't use it unsheilded in heavy rain, light rain I expect no problems with such a device.
