Hi,
Even after upgrading the firmware, i am still unable to view view videos from within youtube or any other site. 9 times out of 10, it states that i need to upgrade my flashplayer, but when i check this route out, not compatible.
Anything i'm doing wrong.? I understood that the latest firmware - 235...... - enabled this.
Cheers
210.34.75 is the latest firmware what's 235?
I stand corrected, that's what i meant. My bad. Humble apologies
Normally, when you Flash this FW Youtube just crashes the browser.
Have you done a hard reset AFTER flashing your phone?
Can't say that i have. Took long enough to flash the phone.
Am switching between using the handsets web browser and Opera mini
To get YouTube working after flashing you must do a hard reset.
I'm gonna then look stupid for 5 minutes 😉 how would one go about doing a hard reset. Cheers
Sorry - took over 5 mins to reply 😉

just wondering if there has been further information on the youtube video playback. After upgrading the firm ware to 210.34 75, and just before restoring my back up, the videos on Crunchyroll website played back for the first time. (yay!). Then when i restored my back up, the web short cut didn't even work. That's when i did a hard reset, and then tried to play the videos first on the websites before doing any thing else. Youtube worked! crunchyroll worked, though not VEOH's. VEOH's website still gives that error message about needing the latest flash player, which is a message Crunchyroll's website usewd to give.
Alas, the happiness lasted less than 2 weeks. Youtube just stopped working a few days ago. After uninstalling various things, and then eventually doing another factoey reset, i still only have Crunchyroll playback. No youtube as promised in the new firmware.
Any more remedies to be performed?

Not sure the reason for this particular link? About microphone?
Hmmm - It was meant to be this one http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=37180
But the microphone one was interesting don't you think? 😉

Indeed, it was interesting, since i happen to be a recording engineer. Also, the microphone thread got me thinking about my first impression when i first got my e90 and noticing that the speakers were quite a bit louder the first few days, but then it seemed to have gotten stunned and dumbed down since then....hmmm, maybe it wasn't just my imagination...and another thing is that the voice recorder really is of far inferior quality than the 9290 i had, and so that maybe it was NOT the recorder but the mic ?
Anyhow, thanks for the new link. i feel "better" now that i'm not the only one having trouble with Youtube. I also feel silly to have reset it twice since instead of looking for other reports.
By the way, have anyone had success with video playback from www.veoh.com ?
just for the record, youtube is working again as of a few days ago. it was them, not us this time. So, after the 210 firmware update, the factory reset of the phone basically fixed the youtube playback. Then when it stopped working again it wasn't a problem on the e90's end.
I have a different youtube related problem. When I first go to the site it displays in mobile mode with a warning about the high bandwith the site uses, so I click "show desktop version" and the regular version loads, then any page I go to from there takes me back to the original mobile page. How do I get the desktop version to stay? I can't even sign in cause when I try to I get taken back to the default mobile page.
