Charging using in-car charger problems!....

HELP!

I used to be able to charge my N70 in my car using the lighter.

I had to mess around with some wiring in my car, and I think i accidentally wired the cig lighter the wrong way round (ie. both wires connected up wrongly).

Anyways, I put my phone to charge, and then it bleeped and came up with 'Not Charging' on the screen and the Battery Indicator Level Gauge dissapeared. When I disconnected it, it reappeared. So i swapped the cables in the cig lighter back round again, and tried charging the phone again.....still the same....

Now heres the thing, it still charges fine using the mains socket in the house, and also via a USB charger cable from my PC. It's just the in-car charger that it doesnt work with.

So I tried a different charger, and the same thing happens!

What I plan on testing tonight is if the phone charges in another car, and whether the cables charge other phones in another car.

Whilst im messing around with that, does anyone have any ideas on this?

Have I potentially killed some circuit on the battery? I have another one I can test, but wouldnt this stop it charging using the mains?

Ill post an update later tonight.

Any ideas or opinions on this would be most appriciated.

P.S. I can charge other phones up in my car fine.... :con?

UPDATE

Turns out it was the in car charger. Tried using a 'proper' Nokia in-cat charger, and all works perfectly....
