Hi
I have an n95 8gb and the display has started to flicker when i slide it and sometimes goes off or distorts. Does anyone know what the cause is and hopefully the cure!! I would be grateful for any help and suggestions.

are you talking about the clock screen saver? when the horizontal bar with time and date screensaver comes on, it flickers a bit? or are you talking about when you open the slider to wake up the phone after the screen saver was already displayed on the screen? the 8GB has always had this flicker from the beginning...so maybe you are just now noticing this bug? its slightly annoying for sure.
This is a common issue with the N95 8 gig version.
It is a faulty Flex cable..
Mine has this fault too, and it'll just gett worse with you losing the screen for hours on end..
This is covered under parts warranty, so take it into your nearest Nokia service centre and they will order the parts..
Hopefully mine will be fixed next week when the parts finally arrive.

Thanks for that it is the same fault that i have and it is getting worse only off for 20s at the moment but flicker all the time. i'll get on to the service centre monday.
