Where do my backup files go? - E51 newbie

Hi all :hello:

Nokia E51, arrh what a sleek attractive phone and how glad I am having it as my very first proud Symbian device. With this came a small newbie question to bother you that is, after I've made a backup my phone data to memory card via the built in Tools > Memory Card > Backup to memory card, Where is the actual file/files that is being backed up? Which location can I find such file which I can copy to some USB flashdrive to be stored in safe place? I've browsed through the memory card but hasn't found anything that seems like it. Thank you

Hi Vincent,

Iam also an E51 fan.

When you done your Backup, it is stored in your Memory Card.
You can not find the Backup file by giving find command.

Please Connect the Phone with PC using USB cable in DATA TRANSFER mode
(Not PC suit mode), then search for *.arc or Backup.arc file.
You will find file in Backup directory.

Please not that it is a hidden file and you want to make view settings in the File view as Show all files.
