I am trying to add voice speech recognition capability to my 9300b. It appears that the best s80 app is vSuite 2.0 by VoiceSignal, acquired by Nuance.
I installed the 1.83 version of vSuite and got an insufficient memory message when I started it. I uninstalled the app and replaced it w/vSuite 2.0. I get messages that the application is already installed - over write? and reply yes. Iget a message to complete the installation on the phone interface, but when I remove the phone from the cradle, I get no indication that the installation is running and the Voice Signal app doesn't appear on the list of installed applications.
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks.
I'm not familiar with your application, but I think that maybe I can help.
Have you tried looking in the documentation on on the manufacturer's website for product/platform specific assistance?:
http://www.voicesignal.com/support/nokia/9300.php
According to their website, if you don't see their logo on the desktop, their application is not installed.
For installation assistance, their website refers you to Openbit.com (their license facilitator?).
One of their links to the 9300 user guide is "busted" but the combo box method for documentation look-up does return the .pdf file which says it is for Vsuite 2.0 the Nokia 9300. The user guide is "suspect" as it shows displays that don't look anything like a 9300 (look more like Series 60 Symbian) and talks about using the Main Menu Button (also not on the 9300).
Just where did you obtain this software? I don't see a link on their website to buy or refer to a seller.
There was a cryptic comment on one of their pages which said that version 2.0 for the 9300 had to be installed on the MMC (external card) and then "activated" by installing to the phone. Did you successfully pass the activation step?
