If you want to know what people do with their phones, here's (most) of what I do:
1) Browse the web and keep track of the news with RSS feeds. You can use the built in Nokia web browser for this, but I prefer to use the free Opera Mini to browse the web, which is generally faster, uses less data than the Nokia browser and renders pages in a way that's easier to read on a phone screen.
2) Use as my address book, calendar, to-do list etc. synchronising with Outlook. I use Papyrus as my calendar application, as I don't really like the one built in to the N95.
3) Play games. There are loads out there, including Java and native Symbian (which are generally faster). Take a look at N-Gage for a few examples.
4) Go geocaching (a bit like orienteering / treasure hunting, but with GPS). You can download a free application to make this easier and more convenient called Geocache Navigator.
5) Check my mail, using a combination of the built in email client and the Gmail free client available for download from your phone at http://m.google.com.
6) Find out where things I'm looking for are and how to get there, using the downloadable Google Maps client also from http://m.google.com and Garmin Mobile XT (various other satnav solutions are also available).
7) Watch YouTube videos. You can view them in the Nokia web browser, but it's not a great experience. Try a dedicated client such as Mobitubia or the recently working again (apparently, I haven't checked) emTube.
8) Listen to audio books with Nokia Audiobooks.
9) Use it as a webcam with Mobiola Web Camera. There is also a free alternative available, I think.
10) Make money every 6 months with M:Panel - I think that registration for this is now closed though, at least I can't find a link to sign up, sorry!
11) Take geo-tagged photos, so I can see where the pictures were taken.
12) I sometimes track routes / times / speeds and various other statistics when I get some exercise (geocaching, jogging, skiing, street luge, etc.) with Nokia Sports Tracker.
13) Make the odd phone call / text / MMS too 😊
That's pretty much all I use it for. I know other people listen to podcasts, music, read MS Office documents and various other things, but the above covers about 99% of my usage.
