Hello, I'm having trouble locking onto a GPS signal on Nokia Maps, the satellite status bar keeps flashing on yellow and doesn't seem to lock on.
Has anyone else had this problem? if so there a work around?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Do you get a good fix with the build in GPS logging program?
Do you wait long enough? Took a long time for me the first time to get a fix and I had to do it outside.

Im not getting any locks either using the map or the built in program.
How long did you have to wait outside to get a lock on the signal?
I was standing in my garden for 5 mins and got nothing!

Hi,
If you go to the build in GPS program and then to Position. Then go to OPtions and Sattelites (or wathever it is called in English). Don't you get any Sattelites at all?
It took my E71 about 5 minutes the first time. Now I'm stitting inside and I got 4 sattelites.
Did you turned AGps on in the Phone Settings?

Thanks Wouter for your help, you're english is perfectly fine!
I get the satellites in the GPS program, it picks up 4 white bars, however aren't the bars supposed to go black when the phone locks onto them?
AGPS is on in the phone setting, but doesn't seem to make a difference.
Am i supposed to use the built in GPS program first? and then go to Nokia Maps?
Hi,
No I don't think you have to do it in that order but it is nice to know if you got a gps fix. If you wait just a bit longer, the bars will eventualy turn black and indicate a fix. Then go to Nokia maps (or even better for testing: Google maps)

My nokia map is also giving me trouble, I had to format my memory cad since when my nokia map is not locking at the current location. It works when i am on the move.
