Hi all,
Recently bought an unlocked N95 8Gb (originally on voda) to use with my orange sim.
Last night I used the nokia software to update it to the latest version (I was on 15, now 20).
However, it wiped my orange mms & wap settings.
I've gone on orange several times to get the settings texts again, and rang orange twice, but the texts just haven't been arriving.
Is this just a problem with orange, or is my handset somehow stopping them coming through?
Sorry for such a noob question, but figured it best to ask the experts.

.....Orange should be able to send you the setting OK, if (as you seem to be) you don't get any joy from them then download them yourself here:

My handset doesn't have the settings wizard.
Dammit.
Should I do the thing to change my phone to generic?
That's been over an hour since I rang orange & still no texts.
Naa, that just gives me the same thing evilweasel sent - I don't have settings wizard on my phone for some reason (vodafone remove it?)
wow that's totally lame, the carrier must have removed the settings wizard. i guess that makes sense too, why would they want you setting it up for other networks if its locked to their network? guess you are "supposed" to get the settings from the carrier or something...
try going on a nokia store i guess they will do it for you, or you can do a sftware update in the nokia store and they ill put the setings that you want free of charge if the pnone is in warranty.
Ok, changed my product code to the Eur version and currently running the update to see if that sorts it out.
I've not received any of the messages orange sent with settings.
If this update doesn't put settings wizard on my phone, I'm screwed!
Starting to wish I hadn't updated in the first place.
wait so you are updating the firmware to the generic unbranded version directly from nokia? that is the smartest thing to do. what was the update you did before then? i dont understand. if you flash with the unbranded version, the settings wizard will be there for sure.
