Pro Series Golf came out in the middle of the period covered by the charts, so we can expect it to get nearer the top next time. That's what happened to Midnight Pool, it started at 5 after being released mid-week, but now in its first full week it's at 1.
The unfortunate truth of it is that midnight pool probably sold about 9 copies.. Asphalt3 6 copies.. Golf 5 copies etc..
They all deserve to sell more...
Start mass-market advertising.. Get the older N-series handsets compatible.. Release more multiplayer games.. For God's sake start using the the 3d chips in select devices.. Release games on time.. And get cover when you take a week off..
Really want to love N-gage.. but can't help getting a bit bored with it all at the mo...

I doubt it, there are already 1000 players ranked above me on Midnight Pool.
Going by the rankings of various games, I'd estimate they've sold tens of thousands each on average. It's not huge, but it's not a bad start considering the platform hasn't launched properly yet.
Start mass-market advertising
How on earth would that help?
This isn't a console, people aren't buying phones for the games.
The real launch of the N-Gage platform will be when it comes embedded in phones from their launch day onwards. People will see an icon on their phone menu saying "Games", they'll be tempted to click on it, and that's how N-Gage will get its customers. No advertising needed at all, but embedding definitely is.
For God's sake start using the the 3d chips in select devices
Again, this is NOT a console.
The graphics on the existing titles are easily good enough for 10 euro phone games (look at COTD and SRE). Judging from the success of Tetris on the charts it seems that graphics don't seem to matter at all.
And judging by the overwhelming success of the Nintendo DS and Wii, it seems cutting edge graphics don't matter that much on consoles either. People value gameplay more than high res textures.

Well, if you're after better graphics then maybe you should get a PSP instead.
But if you're waiting for more games, bear in mind that absolutely all gaming platforms start out mostly mediocre. It's happened throughout gaming history, from the very first home computers and consoles onwards.
It ALWAYS takes at least one year for large batches of decent games to start appearing, because developers take time to get to know the platform, games take time to get written, and publishers wait for a decent userbase so they can maximise their sales.
If you don't like the games on offer at the moment, come back next year.
Is it any wonder so few people reply to your threads or vote in your surveys.. You just end up ripping valid opinions to shreds.
Of course gameplay is superior to graphics.. But would you rather have a Ferrari with the turbo switched off if it had one? Not me.
Yes yes yes good games take a year to come out yada yada yada.. But as a gluttonous, short memory spanned & spoilt gamer of the 90's i want these things now, otherwise the iphone and its touch/motion sensing/3d accelerated games available NOW gets bought come contract renewal time. Im not the only one who thinks like this.
Rome wasnt built in a day, but with better management it could have gone up quicker & had better infrastructure.
you do realise iphone games are mostly the same ports from 3rd party devs just that it as touch screen controls.
in 12 months time N-gage will have left Iphone gaming playing catch up.
Dont be fooled by the gaming videos you've seen for Iphone they are just mostly animated promo video's and will be nothing like the in game play

All I did was disagree with you... 😊
If you'd like to tell me what was offensive about my replies I'll gladly apologise.

Most phones don't have a graphics chip, so most potential N-Gage game buyers will never be able to appreciate chip enhanced graphics.
Of course nice graphics are appealing, but I'd rather see those resources put into more games and more compatible phones. N-Gage needs userbase more than anything else right now, or it won't survive.
Cars are useful on their own, but games platforms are only useful if lots of other people use them, otherwise they won't get third party software support. N-Gage needs as many people using it as possible, that's far more important than having PSP-quality graphics (and indeed, the PSP hasn't done that well compared to the graphically inferior DS).

Well, I'm assuming you're not a troll (but if you are then well done on wasting people's time).
Gaming has ALWAYS been like this, every single gaming system ever made (in the 90s and before) has taken a long time to get started.
If we're going to go with the 90s:
Can you name any PS1 launch games that were any good?
And going back a bit further, people remember the Mega Drive for Sonic the Hedgehog, but he didn't appear until 1991, when the MD itself launched in Japan in 1988.
You can complain all you like, but this is how the world works.
Rome wasnt built in a day, but with better management it could have gone up quicker & had better infrastructure.
You're talking about N-Gage like it's been out for ages, but it only launched in April and it's only really properly launching at the end of 2008.
Give them a chance before you start slagging them off.

These phones are not primarily gaming devices. The rules for games consoles simply don't apply to phones.
Like I keep saying, most phone gamers don't buy their phone based on the games, they buy it based mostly on other things like looks, camera quality, e-mail, web browsing, music playback etc.
The gaming platforms are riding on the back of the phones, not the other way round. Games are just one feature among many for most people, and even before N-Gage launched its compatible phones were selling very well.
