Slow/intermittent wifi file downloads

Hi,

For months I've been successfully downloading BBC Radio podcasts to my N95 over my home wifi ADSL router. Now all of a sudden file downloads take an age (1 hour for a 20Mb file), if they succeed at all.

Looking at the connection manager, the connection shows as Connected (inactive) for much of the time, with corresponding 0 download speed. Signal is a steady 100%. The connection periodically spurts into life and I'll get a download of a few hundred kB or a couple of MB then nothing again. For some reason at the moment I'm getting a steady 0.5kB/sec (yes, half a kilobyte).

Any idea why this is happening? Downloads of the same files to my laptop over the same wifi network are fine. How can I find where the problem lies?

Cheers,
Scott
