N73 ME | Caller Name/No not displayed on Receiving Call

Hi,

I am aware that there are threads on caller id problems in the forum for Nokia N73 Music Edition. However, the particular problem I am facing is that when I receive a call, the name/no is displayed fine but when I press the Answer button on the fone, the name/no disappears and only Blank is displayed.

Also, this is a major problem when I have a Call Waiting situation. The other day I was on call with someone, a second call came in - I got the beep alert for the 2nd call just fine, however when I looked at the screen to check the Caller Name/No, it showed the 2nd no as Blank.

I have verified it is not a network problem cz I was using the same SIM on my older Nokia 3230 and never faced such an issue. Also, I have observed this problem only happens on incoming calls and not outgoing ones.

Can anyone please help me out here?

My firmware version information is as follows:
V 4.0736.3.2.1
04-09-2007
RM-133
Nokia N73 (Z5.01)

hey guys

i finally solved my problem - thx 2 no help from anyone here though 😉

it was actually no problem @ all, the whole caller name not displaying thing was being caused due to themes by ownskin.com. Any theme i installed from tht site caused this weird problem. Now i ve switched to another theme n the fone's workin like a charm.

Just posted this so tht anyone else out there facing a similar problem mite know wt 2 do!

Cheers,
Slayer

Hey guys..... i have a similar problem to 'slayer123'... but i am unable to solve it unlike him !!! :frown:
Since yesterday night the numbers or names are not getting displayed on my N73 ME. I have no extra theme installed. I am using the default Nokia theme (Fullforms) itself. Then i upgraded the phone software. But that also did not solve my problem.
Previously the software version was - V4.0736.3.2.1
Now it is - V4.0812.4.2.1

Please any suggestions ?!?!? Help me out !!! :con?
