With today being another 'iPhone day' and with Apple's new commercial Mobile Me service going live, it's worth noting AAS regular Matt Radford's comparison between Nokia's free My Nokia service and the $100/yr Mobile Me. Matt's notes complete the picture somewhat and his conclusion is spot on, although I suspect that within a few months, Ovi Sync will have rectified the relative lack of integration.

Separate login for Ovi share, N-gage, My Nokia, Nokia Chat, the Nokia support forums...there should be ONE login. As soon as you buy a new Nokia the FIRST screen should be a login or registration screen. You log in...your contacts, calendar, photos, notes, bookmarks N-Gage games and scores and email settings should be all updated and your inbox synced...Nokia...combine these services!
Thats whats stopping me for signing up for more services. The amount of logins is scary.
.....can only presume that Ovi (meaning 'door' in Finnish I think?) will end up as a gateway to all Nokia services????? with one logon for all features!!
I think you guys are looking for this....
https://account.nokia.com/acct/register 😉
Is that "The Door", even to Ovi? 😊
Hardeep - Nokia Account looks like a step in the right direction. Even if Nokia's services remain fragmented (which I doubt), then single sign-on is a great idea. Does anyone know if signing up for My Nokia (for example) creates you a Nokia account, or just a login for My Nokia?
(I wondered why that article was getting so much attention today 😊
Hopefully Nokia integrate better int he coming months. Apple certainly have created a great program though.
I hope Nokia can integrate with google.
Hi Steve, hello everybody.
I clicked on the link for My Nokia and registered my E61i.
I am based in Belgium but got without problems the setting via sms and made the 1st sync of Agenda and Calendar.
However, I cannot log to my remote from the UK site, nor from the Belgian site.
I cannot register again in Belgium, since my phone is registred on the Uk site already.
And I lost my first mail to Nokia since the French site of nokia gets you to the Dutch e-mail system and I mixed out "send" with "clear".
I am also an Apple user and things are - normally - a little more intuitive with Apple.
Cheers, SymFranco
