N95 8G rebrand (pref to Orange)

Hey all, :frown:

I recently got me a lovely N95 8G pimped to the three network, whilst I am with Orange. I updated the firmware (after backing up of course) but still have the Three applications & branding on the phone.

Q: Am I right in thinking that I could debrand to Orange as they have recently brought out the N95 8G on their network?

If anyone knows how I can make my Three phone an Orangey one or non-gender specific I would be most grateful.

Cheers,
Paul

Hi, I tried to debrand using the Nemesis Service Suite last night but am not sure if I was sucessful as my phone still has Three applications on it. Do you also have to update the firmware as well as the debrand?

I get the jist from a few posts here that having a UK brand via any of the big moby companies is a no no.

I debranded to my N95 8GB product code to 0549487 - EURO1 I think although it does not act or feel much different.

You now need to use the Nokia Software Updater to download the Firmware before you see any difference. DO NOT use Restore in the Nokia PC Suite as this may cause you problems with your phone. Better to reload it piecemeal.
Good luck.

Cheers for that, I updated the firmware last weekend albeit before I debranded. I am about to give it a go. I will not restore my backup. I will start from scratch.

Cheers,
Paul
😊

Fantastic, my phone is now free from Three and Orange and is completely unbranded & firmwared up to it's eyeballs.

Cheers everyone,
Paul
