PC Suite for N-Gage - hopeless?

My phone died (well, it's "mostly dead"😉 and I went back to the N-Gage. I wanted to sync, and finally found the original CD. I installed and tried to run PC Suite from it, but it hangs when running.

I googled for it, and found that the N-Gage version of PC Suite isn't compatible with XP SP2 (I dropped back to XP from Vista, since I still have it installed, but it's SP2). Apparently mRouter3 might be the solution. However, its home site is no longer alive.

So, is it a useless to try to get PC Suite to work? Will it even let me sync my Outlook contacts (I don't remember what it could do)? Or should I just forget it?

I found mRouter3 at http://www.badongo.com/file/5348790. Installed it, and it does look updated. Unfortunately, it won't recognise BlueSoleil, and even though I can add the BlueSoleil COM ports, that doesn't help mRouter find my N-Gage (which is paired with my PC).

Hi ET3D,

Why dont you try installing Nokia PC Suite 7.0.7.0 / Nokia NSeries PC Suite 2.0.262.0 / Nokia OVI for PC ??? If your handset is NSeries Handset, you can install any of the above said PC Suites from Nokia site. :icon14:

My phone is the original N-Gage. The new PC Suite (which I have installed for my 6120c) sees it, and tries to connect to it, but says it cannot "authenticate" it (whatever that means).
