I'm from Singapore myself and have known this problem from my Marketing lecturer that Nokia gives priority to the Asia-Pacific regions(Disclaimer: this is what he quotes, not me) because of the furious competition between all the asian cell phone makers(e.g. Samsung,etc...) armed with their ever-advanced features, staying ahead or at the same pace as the present technology, and the features-hungry users in Asia-Pac that drives Nokia to promote new products here ASAP so as to retain their market share.
At the same time, Asia-Pac users are feature-worshippers(sometimes designs too, like the 7250) and they hold high regards for feature-packed phones. The demand is high here and once a new brand or model is launched, provided that the phone is feature-packed(stating on the whole), consumers will be drawn to buying it with the strategic support in promotion with the various cell service providers here (e.g. Singapore- Singtel, MobileOne, Starhub; Malaysia- Maxis, Time, etc..).
I hope this answers your question but I'm just stating the consumer trends in the Asia-Pac region and have no intention of attacking any ideas, facts, etc... 😊
Cannot belie this !! I'm from Norway, and we have had it 3650 for atleast
6-8 weeks..
