Real World Tests - take two - the chocolate and cool version

Ewan wasn't at all happy with my choice of test 'Real World Tasks' earlier in the week, and has come up with his own - and I have to say - much more interesting list. Here find another, more Scottish, comparison between the Nokia N95 8GB, the Apple iPhone 3G and the HTC Kaiser (AT & T Tilt)...

Read on in the full article.

I laughed so hard my cat ran away from it's comfortable purring position on my stomach - earthquake!!!!

Very funny. However, for "Incredibly easy to install Linux - just press update firmware and the Linux-based OSX will get the most current version.". That should be a 0, because OSX is based on BSD UNIX, not Linux at all. 😉

You can actually run the old Mac OS on Nokia's tablets, and Windows 3.1 too. No practical use, but it looks rather surreal to see it in action.

was going to buy the new Samsung 8510. But after reading this, I decided to keep my n95 8gb a little longer. 😉

Was it the scrabble score that won you over?

And I trusted you. I thought you had a handle on these things.

(Hint) To balance a lot of biscuits on your N95

DON'T TAKE THEM OUT OF THE PACKET!!!

What a let down....

Its so obvious... mumble.... thought he was Nokia's answer to para handy...

Oooh, not many readers will get that reference I wager.

I watched some Darren Brown, and after that I felt I had to correct the typo in his name.. don't know why, I just had to.

Waiting for a macboy to start an argument that 1,000,000 points should be given to the iphone, just because it looks so cool.

Mildly amusing. I get the feeling there is a deep intelligent meaning to this article.

There is an intelligent meaning but it isn't buried anywhere deep, "You can't satisfy all the people all the time" That's the reason why no review would ever be deemed unbiased and there would always be some people infuriated by the end result.

The reviews are a real world guide to what the device can or cannot do. One should buy the device that meets their needs and not try to shove one form factor in others faces just because its cool 'today'.

I doubt anyone's interested but the Tilt can already have Linux installed on it - you can even get the basics of Android up and running on it if you're bothered (a variety of other WM devices have also successfully booted Android).

I don't think the new OS helps balance any more digestives though 😞

A Nokia 6600 features as a major part of the plot in Cellular. A dire kidnap movie.
For evidence see: http://www.wirelessmoment.com/2004/08/nokia_6600_came.html

In the fantasy genre there were lots of nice Nokia smartphones in the Russian films Nightwatch and Daywatch.

Back to your dastardly terrorist device theme, I'm not the only one to have that a terrorist's remote control application was running on his Sony Ericsson P990 in Vantage Point earlier this year:
