Yes, well done Tetlee!
Let's hope as 3D the accelerator and Russian will include in an eider!!!
Hey, nice to get a mention on here, cheers Tzer2:icon14:
Why have they removed the official reply from russian thread ?
It did say russian will be added in the kit after the next one or something like that ,
It did say russian will be added in the kit after the next one whatever that mean't
I assume they said it would be added to the SDK (software development kit) after next, but it could be that they weren't 100% sure about that.
The kit is what software developers are sent so they can write games or applications, although some platforms let anyone download the SDK for free (the S60 SDK is free for example, though the N-Gage one isn't).
ppl are still voting on accepted suggestion's and wasting their votes in the process lol
about the official response in russian thread i knew what they mean't but was unsure of exact words they used.
they written something like russian will be added in the one after the next
with no explanation what one after next mean's ,
maybe i need to be clearer aswell as them lol
ppl are still voting on accepted suggestion's and wasting their votes in the process lol
Yeah, but I suppose it weeds out the less observant voters...
Nokia has done a well job again.(ironie)
The Support the ('imo' crappy) 3D Chip.
But they dont think about the other users.
I have bought an N81 in the hope to play all Games.
N81 is Nokias gaming device, also this can be read in a pocketgamer review.
But now, N81 users are left alone.
I dont have high hopes, that Nokia will make 2versions of the same game, so i bet on it, that people woh buyed a N95 or N82 get more games. (my phone also cost about 450)
But i want to play all games too.
And now, i wont buy a N95 or N82 cause they are not really good designt, so N95 looks really bad and N82 i dont like.(all imo)
The other thing is, the only phone i wish to change with my N81 is N96 (but i really like N81 more) but this dont use 3D Chip too.
So why?
Nokia is making me really angry and i cant belive, that they support thing, that only 3 N-gage phones have.
XMusic, N96, N73, N81 and N78 are not supportet by the 3D Chip so i wish Nokia woudn't use it but now...
Now, if Nokia not change there meanings i think i will leave N-Gage, buy a iphone and play again on my PSP or DS, which are also great and in most things better than N-Gage.
Also, the mass market never will come with N-gage.
The XMusic is the cheapest phone but can play also the same games like N81. They will never see the best games with may come for N95 or N82. So why dont stop the support now for the non 3D Chip, if the 3D Chip is that good.
All i know is, that you guys are the besr and i love to read articles on AAN or AAS. And sorry if this post is'nt the best english cause im from germany and im really unhappy about this unjust.
ppl with unsupported phones are starting to get jealous about the 3D chip saying why should the N95 etc have better games with the 3D chip support.
The answer is simple they paid through the roof for devices with it and deserve it to be supported
even if i'm not convinced about the benefit's, supporting it is a good thing and when i see 1st true supported game i hope it changes mind.
I've read lot's of conflicting post's latley about the N96,Does anyone know for sure if it does or does not have 3D chip ?
If I understood correctly, a few months ago Nokia had discussed the issue of the 3D chip being present in some of the NGage phones and not others. At that time I seem to remember them mentioning games that would support the 3D chip would likely come in two seperate versions as opposed to being exlusive to the 3D chip devices.
I don't see why this should be too difficult, I mean it wouldn't be like developing for two different platforms, and being as the games are sold exclusively as downloadable content you would simply need to choose between two versions(I'm guessing the phone model numbers would be listed between each one, in a similar way to how most Java games are sold today). Sounds like the sensible option to me, even if it adds more development time the fact it will please everyone would make it well worth it. Many platforms have worked this way, going right back to the days of the Amiga games.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure Nokia had already confirmed 3d chip support was in their future plans long before the poll so I don't think anything has changed there.
sonic i posted my above post before i saw your post on here but i did read your post on feedback forum and you was my inspiration .
Just get over it why are you so bothered about phones getting 3D support your acting like a child b/c people are getting something you can't have ,
it was alway's the long term plan for n-gage to get 3D chip support in the future it's not like you only found out yesterday we always knew just that the talk went a little quiet
PPl who got N81 for gaming buttons etc will all be feeling like you but they ain't bothered b/c by the time 1st 3D support games roll out n81 will be a very outdated phone anyway we are still ages from seeing any b/c it's not even in the dev kit yet
ccraig:
sorry for acting like a child.
Its not my way to say things bad, but i dont like to stay in the rain with a new phone witch was supported for (full) N-Gage too. (and i at least dont accept it, cause i paied also very mutch and for me, not my father or someone like this paied for my phone, it was me)
When the N95 had the Design and the Musicplayer from the N81 i would buy it, but it hasnt!
But yor right, at least we dont have seen any of the 3D Chip games and i think ist gonna take some time to see some, mybee than, Nokia brings an new device (like maybee N98) which lokks like N81 and hve 3D Chip too and i will buy)
@ N96 im sure that i have read about tat it habe TV out but no 3D Chip.
Now, brain talked to me on the Arena Forum and cleard for me, that the 3D Chip will only update the Games and that all users get the same games, but the users with the 3D Chip phones, get better graphics. Thats what i would understand, also im not the kind of people who must have the best graphic, but i want to have the same game. (not with the same graphic, but the same gameplay). For me, it was like they only make one version of some next games which only use the 3D Chip and i cant play them, but if it is, like brain said its more than ok for me.
Nokia did indeed say they would have 3D support long before the poll, it was a news story on AAN many months ago. However, having them confirm it in the poll is interesting, especially as they were so specific about it being in the next SDK.
At that time I seem to remember them mentioning games that would support the 3D chip would likely come in two seperate versions as opposed to being exlusive to the 3D chip devices.
Yes, that's what I've understood they'd do too. There would be two versions of a game, one for non-chip phones and one for chipped phones, but you will automatically get the right version for your phone when you buy it so no one will notice there are two versions (except by comparing screenshots on review sites).
The very first 3D chips on PCs were only accepted because games came in two versions, as having two versions made the transition to 3D hardware much smoother.
So why dont stop the support now for the non 3D Chip, if the 3D Chip is that good.
It's all about the cost of the phones.
For most people the 3D chip isn't needed. Most people don't play phone games, and those that do play phone games don't care about graphics that much.
If you add a 3D chip and people don't use it, then you're making the phone unnecessarily expensive, which could hurt its sales.
The one thing N-Gage needs more than anything else is that N-Gage-compatible phones sell well, so 3D chips could actually hurt sales.
It would be different if this was a console, people buy consoles mainly for gaming so there would have to be a 3D chip, but these phones aren't consoles.
