After years with WM5 and 6 have just switched to Symbian Series 60. Whilst I know it's the leading smartphone OS that doesnt mean to say I instantly know my way around.😊
The profiles section is similiar to WM5 and 6 tho'.
However...I have selected the vibrate on but it doesnt work. SURELY I can have the phone ring AND Vibrate??? The same goes for messages. Vibrate is on but no vibrate when a message comes through. I have also had a Blackberry and this (together with WM devices) allowed vibrate and notify (or vibrate AND ring). Can Symbian do this.
I would be bloody annoying if I had to keep going to profiles just for my phone to vibrate.
Also, is there a short cut to change profiles swiftly rather than go through all the settings??

shortcuts to change profiles are as follows
Quick Press the power button (but don't hold it) to quick select profiles.
Or
Press and hold # from the homescreen to quick change form general to silent and vise versa
Your other issue with vibrate should work as you want, so it is most likely you have a setting wrong, post your settings and I will try to see where you are going wrong.

All working fine now. Thanks for helping and sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The more I play around with the OS the more I prefer to WM.
