Same firmware, new updates? Surely not!

This must just be a coincidence. I must have inadvertantly done something to my E61 to make the changes. Let me explain:

I've had my E61 a long time now and love it! Towards the end of last year I updated the firmware to version 3.0633.09.04. There have been no new updates since then. Recently I've had backups that would not restore correctly so, after many attempts I decided to re-install the firmware. Please not that I didnt update the firmware but rather re-installed the firmware from last year.

Since then whenever I copy text for pasting elsewhere I get a pop up in the top right corner of the screen which says "Copied". Also, whenever I pick up my emails with the standard messaging app I get a dialog box come up which tells me when last I connected to my email server, and asks if I would like to connect again now.

Never before in my almost two years with this phone have I seen either of these things. They seem to have appearewd since I re-installed my firmware, which is surely not possible.

So this was like from disk, ie you didn't re-download the "same" firmware?

Maybe you didn't actually update your firmware last time?
