N95 8GB WLAN Problem

I've read everything I can on the net and in forums and I'm at the point now where my phone may well get launched very hard against the nearest wall!

I am trying to connect my wireless router. I have a Buffalo Wireless G Router. I can see the router when I search for it on the phone. I can add it and I have entered the WEP key successfully. I get all the correct symbols telling me that it has connected to a secure network. Yet when I try and browse the web through this defined access point it just hangs and does nothing!

I've tried various other methods. Like turning the power saving off etc... and I've also tried defining the phone manually and giving it it's own IP address and configuring the Gateway and router's IP manually. Yet still it does exactly the same thing and does nothing but present me with a blank page!

Why does everything have to be so hard?

Is there anyone else out there that has had the same problem and know the answer?

Thanks in advance.

Daz (frustrated and fed up with easy things being so hard!)

Hi,

when you configured the phone with "manually" assigned IP, DG etc, did you
enter the correct DNS values?

when i first had my E61 (not the same as yours i know, but still symbian and
wifi) i had issues with my phone failing to get onto the internet via the
linksys router i was using at the time. the only way i could get the phone to
connect to the net was to enter my ISP's DNS server addresses into the
phone settings rather than using the routers IP as the DNS value.

i'm now using a netgear router with Sky and the E61 picks up it's IP etc
automatically without any problems.
