You wait weeks for new N-Gage games and then they all come at once...! Nokia's first party game Bounce Boing Voyage, a 3D remake of the classic Bounce games, is now available in the N-Gage application's showroom, if you can't see it select Options and then Update Now. You can watch the rather amusing official trailer by clicking on the headline of this news item...

Read on in the full article.

By the way, this seems to take an unusually long time to install (or at least it did for me) so don't worry if the installation goes a bit slowly, it does work.

Very nice demo ... but I was not able to complete purchase because purchase by phone debit requires an email address to be entered but the keyboard will not enter a @ symbol as the *+ key will not enter symbols. Using N82.

The @ symbol is on the '1' key. Cycle though other punctuation and you'll get to it.

great game
its shame my account as stopped working reset generation messed it up two days in a row now lol
i'll have to wait for cong to startv work to fix it
i've been looking forward to this game for ages i'm gonna give the trial ago in my old account on my other phone until i get my account fixed and my free code sent
tzer what you think about game at 1st glance ?

Do you mean installation time or in-game loading times? Loading times with my n82 are very low, about 5-10secs per level.

Awsome game. I just can't stop playing it. In each level there is always something new and cool!

The games aren't (yet) tied to a single account, I think you can use the same game on the same phone with different accounts. If one account doesn't work try logging in with a different account on the same phone.

Great game, but the loading times are bad

Loading times are fine for me, do you mean installation time like Hypnotoid suggested?

I don't suppose it can use an accelerometer, as with Super Monkey Ball on iPhone?

They could have used it (many S60 games do) but they didn't.

I think they might be nervous about using it because some N-Gage-compatible phones don't have an accelerometer, and it's simpler to just write one game that works the same on all models.

The gameplay isn't quite like Super Monkey Ball though, some of it is more like Mario 64, but I agree accelerometer support would have been ace.

Accelerometer isn't currently supported by N-Gage platform so that's the reason of it's absence in all games. Hopefully Nokia brings it fast.

It's not in the current SDK you mean? Interesting to hear, I suppose they wanted to start with a simple SDK and add more features later?

If so, it's the same with graphics accelerator chips too, but there's nothing to stop them adding these to a new version of the SDK (in fact they have now said the 3D chip support will be in the next SDK).

I guess they are starting with simple things and making those stable first before supporting all kind of wacky things. Afterall accelerometer can be quite tricky with a mobile device when the display is reflecting when tilting it. I.e. it's hard to see what's going on.

Also, an accelerometer would be an analogue control (I think?) while the buttons are digital controls, so that may cause complications too.

tzer2 i understand games are not linked to user name, but user name is linked to your imei so you cant just login to n-gage app with different account on same phone without getting your profile unlinked from your imei 1st.
i know this from experience b/c i've already had my account unlinked twice by the mods once when i sold a phone so person can make there own account and once when i changed user name
so you cant just login with different id without getting old id untied from phone thats why i had to play trial on different phone b/c i was'nt able to activate game on phone i wanted until my account was fixed or unlinked to use another account, i'm now using different account b/c they unlinked device until they can work out problem with with my real account

this system is good b/c if some1 gets caught using pirated games they'll ban there account from servers and will never unlink user name from imei then that way they'll never beable to use the online features again b/c banned account is stuck linked to phone lol

if you want to test what i'm saying go to update profile as it says logging in press cancel you then get option to login with different account
just change username and password to another account
it'll then say device already registered to account and won't let you login
then just repeat top line to change back to real account

yay at last an n-gage game i like.

though i got an unknown error -2 when i tried to buy from in game.
sure ill find a way round that though

mac

I did not know that.

It's a bit odd because the official N-Gage site's FAQ used to say "yes you can use many accounts on one phone but this may be a bit confusing" or something like that. Did they change their minds about this policy, like so many things?

If you report that in the Game Purchase forum the engineers will know about it:
