Well, that was the most fun I've had all day...
Couple of chaps at work were playing with their shiny icandy outside the office, waiting for maps to load and get their location.
After about 30 seconds I opened maps on my lovely N95, got a fix within 5 seconds.
There was taunting, and laughing. And it felt good...
I am ashamed....

Shame on you for mocking the afflicted!!!
How could you do such a thing?
You should have MMS'd or Bluetoothed them a screenshot of your location instead.
Sorry, forget that idea, they wouldn't be able to receive MMS or Blutooth.
Oh well! never mind. 😃
Enjoy while it lasts. No doubt iPhone soon will have full GPS too.
Personally I am not in either camp. Well, actually I am in ALL camps, enjoying my N95 8GB, HTC Diamond and iPhone 3G. All have ups, all have downs. The most advanced surely is the Nokia. The most pocketable is the HTC and the iPhone is the most enjoyable. Go have your pick 😊

Sorry, but last year I had to endure taunts from iFans for over 6 months prior to the launch of the EDGE iPhone. They told me that my phone, at that time an N95-1, was a dinosaur and obsolete and that Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple, had promised a phone that was both magical and revolutionary and literally 5 years ahead of any other phone.
History has shown us that this was not the case in the iPhone first edition, which had to be reduced by $200 69 days after launch because of poor sales.
The iPhone 3G is an improvement but is certainly not revolutionary, magical or 5 years ahead of any other mobile phone.
Having said that, I look forward to the iPhone mark 3 to see if they address any of the hardware shortcomings such as 2MP camera, no video or video calling. Not to mention software lacking MMS, Copy, cut and paste and accurate turn by turn mapping instructions.
iPhone doesn't do that much, but what it does, it does well. I too am very interested in seing if v3 will be up to date on cam etc.
Right now I having fun with the 3G, but I really don't see it replacing my N95 8GB any day soon. That said, every day some new and interesting happens on the iPhone, while the S60 platform seems to be stuck at the moment. Quite dangerous, if you ask me.
