Invalid Sim card

I've had my N95 for about 1 year and have never been happier.

But the other day something happened.. I took up my phone and was about to make a phone call but saw that the phone was turned off. Strange I thought and turned it on and made the call. 15 min later it was turned off again! I turned it on again but then something strange happened. It turned itself off again, but this time, I couldnt start it with sim card!

All I get is invalid sim card. Ive tried ~4 sim cards (2 of them Ive been using before in the phone) but noone works. It ask for pin code and then Code correct -> invalid sim. If you write wrong sim it says invalid code so I guess it has some kind of connection atleast?

It works without any problems without a sim (offline) so the "phone works".

Anyone know whats up?

(About 2 hours before it happened it started raining outside, never used the phone but had it in my pocket. Could it have been damaged by water or something?)

Thanks for any help!

My handset developed a screen fault around the 1 year old stage, and also within a few hours after being in my pocket on a very rainy day...

If you are in the UK, then you have a 2 year warranty and should take (or post) the faulty N95 to a Nokia Care Centre

Be warned that if the NCC engineer detects de-branded FW in the logs, or water damage inside the unit, the handset will be returned to you unrepaired with a letter saying "outside of warranty".
