Nokia Music Manager unable to convert MP3's

Ok, first off, I have searched AAS to no avail, not here, not on Google, not anywhere have I found a suitable answer, so I'm hoping the bright sparks here might be able to enlighten me. And before anybody berates NMM, I find it convenient (at least when it works !) so don't try telling me to use something else. I have tried most things, and I happen to like NMM 😊

Right, that's that out of the way.

My problem is that NMM now refuses to convert any MP3 I feed it into. It's done it perfectly well before but now refuses to do so. Not sure if it's anything else I have installed that may have affected codecs (I did update and install K-Lite Codec Pack recently and also Nokia Music Beta) or whether it's since updating PC Suite to v7.0.7.0.

Whatever, it's a real pain in the bum because now, to get my MP3's on, I have to initially convert them to WMA then NMM is ok with those. A pain because now the process takes almost twice as long.

I just tried uninstalling and reinstalling PC Suite but that did jack. I have uninstalled Nokia Music in case it was that, but no, it still won't do it.

Please, if anyone can help it would be MOST appreciated 😊

Hi lovesign,

Are you trying to convert mp3 to M4A or AAC format? I guess there is some issues with M4A format with Nokia Music manager, so you can try to convert mp3 songs into AAC format, hope it may work without any problems... You can check this settings in Nokia Music Manager -> Options -> Settings -> Conversion -> Conversion format -> You can select AAC format and then try to convert MP3 songs. Best of Luck 😊 :icon14:
