hey,
as i wrote here before my 7650 is dead. (see topic: my dear 7650 is dead). i had 3.12 and i filled the memory, the phone only goes on, says nokia and the shut off again.
as i explaind i can't go the a nsc because my device has bluetooth and
bluetooth is illegal in my country.
finaly i found some guy who works at a nsc and agrred to fix my device.
first he updated the software to 4.39, that went fine (so he says)/
after he tried to format (???) the phone but that dident help either and
my phone is still dead.
he told me it's a hardware problam but he can't send it to nokia factory
because it's illeagel.
-
my dad is flying to the netherlands in a few weeks.
could he give it to a nsc and they will fix the hardware problam?
i have no idea how much time is left from my manfucture warranty (1 yr).
i have the phone for 3 month, is there someone here that can check
for me how much time is left from my warranty?
iam so sad...i had the phone working for less the 2 weeks.
i paid on it more then 500$ SIM-FREE. iam a young men... i can't afford
another one.
Please please please help me,
Gideon
It depends on how illegal it is (fine, jail, death?).
I'm not advocating lying, but you *could* take it to a local NSC and claim innocence regarding the BT ("I got it as a present from my dad who travels, but now it's broken, what can I do?", etc.), and depending on how bad it is, you may get a replacement (or fixed) phone (just don't expect it to be free, though).. This is somewhat optimistic, unfortunately.
As I know nothing about either the Netherlands or Israel's warranty policies, I can't offer much assistance there. I know that if you buy a grey (non-local) import, and try to have it fixed here (in South Africa), Nokia tends to refuse to do it under the warranty, and will charge a much higer fee - IF they fix it at all.
Where did you buy it from?
Perhaps you could mail it to that an NSC in that country.
Your dad is flying to the Netherlands, but how long is he going to stay there? As some fellow posters have mentioned, some countries may take several weeks to return your phone.
Just some suggestions. Hope you get your phone fixed!
i bought my phone in london.
won't the nsc in the netherland agrre to fix it?
my father is goona be there for a week.
thx,
Gideon
Why is bluetooth illegal??!!
The army in my country uses bluetooth for his radio.
they r afraid that people will listen/interfir the army radio.
gideon
You could bring it to a NSC in the Netherlands. Maybe they will fix it (as you have warranty), but if it's a hardware problem, it's going to take longer than a week to repair. Your dad should ask if they could send it back to Israel after they have repaired it in the Netherlands.
Here's a list with the NSC's in the Netherlands: http://www.nokia.be/nl/club3.html. Good luck 😊

Isn't bluetooth's range some 10 metres?
Or do they have a special long range bluetooth thingy?
I think they use just the frequency (2.5GHz), not BT 😃
it's very secret the bt thing..i don't know why exactly.
about sending the phone here..
it wont works, custome here is 52%... i will need to pay alot of money.
i have a guy here who ownes a private lab and will do the repair for 100$.
do u think it will cost more in the netherlands?
thx,
Gideon
