E90 v2 identification — Nokia E90 — All About Symbian Forum Archive

Hi all

I'm looking at getting an E90 but as they're rather pricey I'm trying to get one on eBay.

I have read that the inner keyboard rubs the screen on the original release, so I'm trying to make sure I get hold of a v2 model. The problem with this is that whereas there are plenty of E90s for sale, very few ebay sellers know about v2 or have any idea which version they're selling. I'd like to try and find the right one, so anybody has answers to the following questions I would very much appreciate it:

1. First of all, how much of a problem is the keyboard/screen thing? Are there any other problems that were fixed by v2?

2. When was v2 released?

3. If it's black then it's v2, right? And if it's red or mocha it could be either version?

4. Does E90-1 mean it's version 1?

5. Any other good ways of identifying a v2?

Thank you for the link. I have managed to get hold of a v2 phone on ebay and so far am very happy with it. 😊

Actually I have a v2 version and this version also has problems with the keyboard touching the screen... It doesn't damage it or anything, but when you have dirty fingers the dirt will get tranferred to the screen when you close it.
