I'm getting majory fed up with o2's bastardisation of my n73. Here's the problem: when I hold the '0' key to run the wap (services) shortcut, it always brings up the o2 active homepage. This is because my sim card is o2. I want to set the homepage myself, but it won't let me! But in my bookmark list, at the top, is O2 WAP GPRS. It has the homepage icon, and I can't delete it! Even when I reset the phone with a Euro 1 product code!!!
Here's what I've tried:
1. I've given my n73 a generic product code, hoping that would remove any o2 settings. Unfortunately as soon as you put in the sim card the undeletable O2 WAP GPRS bookmark appears. It can't be edited. I'm guessing the sim card puts it there, even after a hard reset. WHY?
2. I've tried two ways of changing my wap homepage. One way is to mark the bookmark of the site I want, then choose Advanced options->Set as homepage. This means when I choose Navigation options->Homepage within the wap browser it brings up the correct page, but when I open the wap browser by holding the 0 key it defaults to the kb-hungry o2 homepage.
3. The other way is to go to wap services->settings->homepage->user defined and paste in the correct address. This still doesn't amend the startup homepage.
All I want to do is to delete, FOR GOOD, the o2 WAP GPRS homepage bookmark that appears in my bookmark list. I cannot delete it at present, it seems to be protected. Debranding my n73, or hard reset, or latest firmware does not help. When the phone is offline the bastard o2 bookmark is not there; as soon as the sim card goes in and I load wap then o2 takes over. most frustrating, please help, thanksa
