Hi Friends,
I have recently bought a Nokia E90 Communicator. I primarily use it for web browsing 90% of the times. I have already installed Opera Mini 4 and Opera Mini 3.
I would request you to help me in creating ina LIST_OF_ALL web browsers that work satifactorily on the E90. I would like to install this set of web browsers for my web browsing work.
Eagerly awaiting your replies.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
D Mukherjee
The list is, probably just Opera Mini and Opera Mobile (the native S60 version), and maybe Access NetFront if the S60 version is still in development and available.
I have Web(Nokia standard), Opera, Opera mni, Firefox mobile on mine
How does Opera-Mobile work on the E90? Is it stable? Does it crash? Can multiple windows be opened by *users choice*?
Does it allow select copy paste from browser (not form field)?
Which version of Opera Mobile should I download. There are two versions. There they say that it is not recommended for E90. What should I do then?
D Mukherjee
i use my E90 for about 99% of my web browsing and i use opera mini.
For me it has never crashed and is extremely fast. The only thing i dont like about it is the way the browser manages RSS feeds. I find that when i want to add a new feed i have to add the feeds in twice (add feed, exit opera, load opera, add feed, exit opera).
Apart from that its fantastic 😊
It would be nice to be able to open email links via opera but i dont think thats possible.
I do find Web (standard browser) annoying. Mainly because it can't handle files that are nor supported by E90. I want to be able to download whatever I want, not what Nokia think I want. Other thing is limited support for flash, and i have problems with JAVA on couple of occasions.
I tried Opera Mini 4.0 - very slow (but i mean very slow) and GUI is not exactly functional. There was as well test with UCWEB, but that one was even worse - problems with starting application (sometimes it crash, some time it actually work but is even slower then Opera Mini, not mentioning awful GUI).
I'm looking for stable browser which will allow me to download whatever files I want, open multiple windows when I want it, with clean, simple but functional GUI and better support of flash and JAVA.
Ideas anyone?
Java support would require a full J2SE/JRE implementation on the phone. There is only J2ME on the phone. So, you will not find any browsers with full Java support.
And Flash Lite v3.0 is as close to full Flash you can get (mostly compatible with Flash 8, and some sites work OK with that; some Flash 8 features do not work, Flash 9 stuff do not work, and if the page content - Flash or otherwise - exceeds the amount of RAM on the phone, things won't work, either).
😊 Does anyone work with Teashark ? It's a fast browser aswell . Like Opera mini Java based . Teashark.org . Free application .
Good luck . jApi Nl 😊
☺ Just now there is a new Beta update of the Bolt Browser . In Preferences you can set Magnifier to 3XL . Now the inner screen is at last readable ! Give it a try http://boltbrowser.com

Hi,
I used to use the built in browser, cause it's the only wich supports ajax and most of javascripts and flash too, even if it's not the fastest browser. Opera mini is fast and esy to use and it's the only witch can download any type of file.
Teashark is good too, but not that good like Opera mini.
Skyfire Browser... its the best browser on the market right now. It plays all media on the page as it is, and was meant to be.
I'm sorry to say : I use the inner screen normally . But Skyfire freezes from the start . Only working on the outer screen allright . But that's to small to me really . Skyfire is unable to render the screen resolution 800 x 352.
