Hello,
I can't seem to find any documentation on these, and my own futzing around has failed so far.
- How can I perma-allow an app to use the network ? Every time I open opera it asks me "Allow application Opera Mini to use network...." How can I set it so that I don't have to answer that question every time ?
- Call forwarding message ... every time I place a call I get this big message "Note: call forwarding is active" ... I don't know what this is, I don't care, I just don't want to see the message anymore. How can I disable this ?
Many thanks - this is my first symbian based phone and am just getting used to things...

- I'm not sure. I believe its just Opera's application that does this, because I have many apps that access the internet and only that one prompts me everytime. Thats just not my Nokia phone, but all phones that I used Opera Mini on.
- Menu->Tools->Settings->Phone->Call Forward->Check Status.
If its being forwarded you can click cancel, to keep it from be forwared.

I did that. I went to that location and chose "cancel" and it said "Requesting ... Forwarding cancelled".
And then, I tried to make a phone call with the e71, and as soon as it connected and I could hear ringing the dialog box popped up and told me:
"Note: call forwarding active"
Look, I dont' know what call forwarding is. I don't care. I don't care whether it is active or not active or cancelled or seven or blue or spinach. I don't care.
All I want to do is make a phone call without these dialog boxes popping up 😊
Is that possible ?
Thanks 😊

Does this happen when you call a certain number or all numbers? Because if your calling a certain phone number that has call forwarding setup on it, it will show that dialog box.
Same if your calling someone that's on the phone with someone else. (says waiting).
If its all the numbers you call, I would try a master reset/clear on the device and if it still happens its either a Network issue or device issue.
With Opera-Mini go to:
Open App.Mgr (possibly in Installations folder, I've moved it so can't say for certain)
In the App manager find Opera Mini and click Options/Open then set 'Network Access' to 'Always Allowed'
If you use the 'save web page' feature Opera Mini, then also set 'Read User Data' and 'Edit User Data' to always allowed (you will get a security warning, ignore it)

Have you successfully done this ?
Because on my phone, when I look at Operas "Network Access", "Always Allowed" is not a choice. I have only:
- Not Allowed
- Ask Every time
- Ask first time
And I have always had "Ask first time" checked. Can you confirm you have a fourth option where I only have three ?
I _do_ have "always allowed" for connectivity, but that doesn't fix the problem.
EDIT:
This issue is solved - I found this on the opera forums:
What you should do:
1. Uninstall the version you have now. If you have saved any new bookmarks, I suggest you synchronize first.
2. Go to mini.opera.com
3. If you're not offered the signed version (you will see it in brackets), click on "If this version fails to install or you would like to install a previous version, please click here."
4. Choose the one saying Multiple certificates, or either Verisign or Thawte.
5. Install Opera Mini.
6. Try changing to "Always allow" in your application manager.
So the problem is that the default download for opera mini is a cert-less version, and you have to go deeper in and get an alternate version that has "multiple certificates". I downloaded the multi cert one and now i have a fourth choice that allows "always allowed" for network access.
Thanks!

Ahh ... so the message is not a message about me, or my phone, it is a message about the phone I am calling ?
Ok. Well, I found some 1-800 numbers that _don't_ display that message, so it doesn't do it with every number, but I think every single number (friends, family) that I call _does_.
So is it common for just about everyone to have call forwarding enabled ? Every ATT, Verizon and Vonage number i have called seems to have it on ...
And I take it there is no way for me to just disable this message so I don't see it ?
Thanks!

Thanks.
opera/gmail/gmaps doesn't have this, probably because it's not signed ? Yahoo Go! 3.0 has EVERYTHING Allow Always.
Not sure what google's problem is. it's been like this forever. that and the annoying microscopic icons on all their apps.
