Rotate me

CAn someone explain how I install ROtate me? I am confused by the "unsigned" program. I have only downloaded programs that simply installed automatically.

Why use Rotate me when you can use the screen rotation setting?

Go to tools - settings - general - personalisation - display and change rotate screen to automatic.

Not on an N95-1 (classic) you can't!!!

nor on my N95 8GB...
Version 15.0.015 RM-320
what software version does that then? 1st i've heard of it!
All i get is light sensor, font size, power save, welcome note, light time-out.

I just looked and my n95 does not have a rotation option. Where can I check to see which version of software I am running and where can I go to flash new version? I thought I had the latest version, obviously I do not. Do I lose all my programs if I update OS?

hi there press star hash 0000 hash on main standby screen of phone this will bring your firmware up

go to nokia support for your country via www.nokia.com youll find the update service there its called nokia software updater

please see the sticky threads at the top of the n95 page for more info on firmwares etc

you will loose all settings programs and contacts ie yourphone will be factory fresh apart from memory card or you 8gb storage depending on what phone you have

back up contacts and messages but i wouldnt backup any more the restore them as when you do settings etc it can cause problems just do contacts and messages then build your phone again like you did when you bought it you should have the applications and liscences still on your pc , no?????

I have the most recent version for the US, it just doesnt have a rotate feature. I will try to get rotate me to work as described above.

I tried to follow procedures for an hour and simply cant do it. I try to follow the signed instructions and cant get the application to be seen properly

I recieved errors saying Failure for many reasons. Is there any other way to do this?

itll show you how to hack your n95 so it will take any app unsigned or signed

you will have to be carefull what you install as the security is turnt off so download from places with good reps and avoid torrents if poss just incase

it dosent void the warranty and i know at least 5-8 people withn95s that ive done it for including myself

all youd have to do is a reformat and the hack would be gone

but i recomend it mate

I can confirm that there is an option to change screen to automatic on my Vodafone N95 8GB version 20.0.016. and it works great.

Only thing is I have to rotate the phone to the left to work first time. If I do it to the right it takes 3 turns to work.
