There are several issues in calendar that seems weird to me. When I am entering new meeting the alarm is off by default and there is no possibility to change it. Alaso alarm time is set 15 min before start without possibility of changing. Does anybody know if there is change to change those two items.
N78 calendar
Just tested your issue on mine, and it works ok, i can edit both with no problems. The only issue i have so far is weekly alarm issue which i have posted about previously. My software version is 12.046, would be interesting to see if yours is the same or not.
You can change turn on the alarm and change alarm time for every new entry, but there is no way to change the defaults (so that the alarms are always on, and that the default time is something else than 15 minutes before the time).
That's excatly I am worried about. There is no way to change the default figures. I do use calendar a lot and there no better phone to buy right now. Anyway, I suspect that my next phone will not be Symbian.
I don't think all is lost, as i said, it works as expected on my n78. Did you look a which firmware is on yours? You can do an upgrade if it's not the latest directly on you phone from the device manager. If not then your phone is clearly faulty, so you can get it replaced. I suspect it's firmware related, so you'll be able to fix it quite easily.
Yes, I know that there is some keys to press in certain order to find out the software version. Would you please be so kind to tell me what keys to press? Do you want to say that you can change default figures for alarm on/off and default time something else than 15min before? I actually like the hardware.
Just did the upgrade to 12.046. No changes discovered so far.
Before blaming Symbian you must know Nseries isnt for PIM. you need an E71 if you want the calendar out of the Box or install Handy Calendar (recommanded) or Papyrus.
