Hi all,
i have an N95 with Route 66 isntalled, it works great, but I have just moved from Spain to the UK and the TMC does not appear to be working anymore. It says updating, makes a 3G connections and then says there is no info (which sometimes I do not beleive!!) It worked fine in Spain...
I have the correct settings for the access point defined (im with O2 and have selected O2 mobile Web which is correct) and as I said, it correctly establishes a connection but does not receive any info....
Any ideas? Can anyone explain further how TMC updates work?

Which version of R66 are you using?
You've to pay for TMC !!!
I have version 7.3.468
I didn't realise I had to pay for TMC... WHo gets paid? And I cant understand why it worked fine in Spain but doesnt work here in the UK?

Edit : Just been to Route 66 website and there is no mention of paying for the service, just the additional data charge from the operator... WHere does it go to get the info? And can I verify that there is any data to be downloaded? Is there such a thing as a TMC 'server'?

Presumably you only had paid/subscribed for Spanish TMC?
Hi, I haven't paid for TMC at all, ever...
So if I would like to use TMC, who gets paid for it?

Maybe you got 1yr free Spanish TMC when you purchased the Spanish Maps?
Presumably after entering UK Access point settings on your phone, you changed the default GPRS connection within Route66 Settings menus?
I certainly dont remember any mention of free TMC, I didn't even know you had to pay for it...
Anyway...

I am using Route66 V8/2008, and the purchase service options are in Extras menu.
