The N-Gage platform's games all feature an achievement system called point pickups, but what if that system was applied to the N-Gage platform itself? What actions related to N-Gage would earn Nokia lots of points? Click on the link to find out, and if you have your own suggestions feel free to comment in the thread below.
Read on in the full article.
By the way I know there are many other things Nokia could do to improve the platform, but I've tried to stick to the most fundamental long term goals.
100 - add long overdue NGage support for N73, N93/N93i(incomplete)
😊Sorry, couldn't resist that one.
On that subject though, thinking of selling my N93 as I'm starting to feel there must be real issues for it still not to be supported, do you think it could be due to lack of RAM for that handset? I noticed your comments that the 5320 Xpress Music phone seemed to run the NGage app faster than the N95, probably due to the bigger RAM, how much smaller is the RAM of the N93 than the N95 as I'm concerned if support ever does arrive then it might end up so sluggish it could be frustrating?
Sorry for going a bit off topic but an opinion would be welcome:icon14:

thanks to sunny for pointing this out on n-gage site
There should be a

Ashwyn7, will definitely be adding Tilelander to the Unofficial Games section.
I think the unofficial games will help keep N-Gagers going while they're waiting for more official releases! 😊
Ccraig, thank you once again for the tip, will post a news item about it as soon as I can get to a better computer.

Well, this is the one weak point of the N93 technically: it only has about 20 megabytes of free RAM (it has a lot more RAM in total, but 20 megs is how much is left over for other apps after the phone's own functions have had their share).
The N95 isn't that much better technically with 30 megabytes free RAM, but maybe that extra 10 megs makes all the difference?
The 5320 is leagues ahead with an astonishing 85 megabytes of free RAM, which is even more amazing as the phone only costs about 200 euros and is physically very small.
The one caveat is that the N95 used to just have 20 megs free, then there was a firmware update which changed it to 30 megs free. I don't know if that's possible for the N93 though.

I know they've put out some duff games lately, but you would be amazed how many people buy Gameloft games, they've dominated the N-Gage charts (and other kinds of phone game charts too), and they even dominate the visitor stats for All About N-Gage. More people visit the AAN Asphalt 3 game page than any other.
Even the legendarily awful 20 second demo on Brothers In Arms didn't seem to affect its sales on N-Gage. 😞
Maybe Gameloft uses some form of hypnosis to convince so many people to buy their games?
I remember when everybody had a nokia java phone with 128*128 screen. My father had a 6230. 90% of games available for those phones were gameloft titles like prince of persia etc. Everybody who played a game on their phones, would see gameloft's not ro pleasant logo before it. So maybe even now they think it's only gameloft who makes phone games. Or maybe it has become kind of nostalgia for them.

Thanks for the insight Tzer2, didn't realise they were able to free up RAM on the N95 with a firmware update, interesting to discover, guess if they could do the same for the N93 then it could in theory run nearly as well as on the N95 then.

N/A, the N96 isn't out yet so I can't count those points yet.
When the N96 is released I'll add the points to the chart. It will apparently have N-Gage built in, but we have to wait and see to make sure.
