hi all
i have the 8gb. When i select OFFLINE profile, if an alarm goes off, or a calendar appointment reminder goes off (i use exchange for mail to sync my calendar from exchange).. the alarm sounds.
I need the Offline profile to be silent!!! surely there's a way to achieve this, but for the life of me I can't figure out how.
can someone please shed some light? I work in theatre and use offline mode when the show starts as silent is no good (if someone sends me a txt i'll get the interference noise through my amplifiers!!) - but i can't have an appointment reminder alarm going off mid show!!! i prefer not to turn the phone off (which is what i've had to do as a workaround), because i don't use a watch and need it for the time.
please help!

Tried changing the profile settings for the Offline profile?
Ringing tone > Off
Message alert tone > Off
Keypad tones > Off
Warning tones > Off

I seem to remember someone else in a similar situation and I think we discovered that the fone assumes that if you set an alarm, you need to know about it, thus ignores any other settings and just tells you.
I guess your other choice is to change the alarm style for Offline.

Where would that be set ? in the offline profile there is no alarm tone.
