Two questions about the N80 - Reliability & MAC Address

Hi guys,

First question, is there any noticeable problems with the N80IE I should look out for? I'm planning to buy a used one, but I don't want to experience the headaches that I did with my previous CDMA Nokia due to neglected and buggy firmware.

In my school they have Wifi but apparently some phones (including a few, but not all iPhones) are having problems connecting to it. Someone suggested its because the Wifi network needs to remember the MAC address. I don't quite understand that, but I do know that we have to type in a WEP password, and then we have to go to a https site and login with our account information before the internet works. Should this be a problem with the N80?

Thanks!

The MAC address is printed on the label under the battery. It is a unique Media Access Control address for the WLAN/Wi-Fi hardware (also known as a hardware address).

Youn can also have the phone display the MAC address by "dialing" *#MAC WLAN# on the standby screen where you'd enter numbers to make a phone call.

Note: Don't actually type 'M', 'A', 'C', etc., but one press of the key where the 'M' is, or 6, etc. So, what you type is really *#62209526" but "MAC WLAN" is easier to remember than "62209526".
