Hi all,
How would you rate text messaging features on Symbian phones compared to other platforms? I currently have a Moto RAZR and it has the most antiquated, archaic system (only stores ~50 messages no matter how much free storage space you have).
Do Symbian phones have intelligent features similar to email, such as folders, allowing as many messages as you have capacity for, etc.?
Thanks for your help!
You can organize messages in folders. You can store messages in phone memory, or a memory card (at least if you pick a Nokia S60 based phone) and the capacity varies by the amount of space available (newest models support at least 8GB microSD cards, and there are models like the N96 with built in 16GB of memory + a memory card slot).
Great, thanks for the info! I think I'll definitely be going symbian then.
You can store up to 999 message...u can synchorize it with Pc...you have many options for 3rd party applications to store or back up your messages.
You have nice email options but if you are really interset in recieving the mail in the exact time you can use a free service called SEVEN where you can define multiple mail boxes...or Mail for Exchange to back up Calendar,Contact...etc if you have a microsoft exchange server...
*Download and install a free application called Conversation from www.nokia.com beta labs.
The option in Symbian S60 is practically unlimited.
I've seen people with 2000-3000 messages that they've received. 999 is just as the maximum you can choose for the number of saved, sent (outgoing) messages.
