Hello,
Just bought my E71. Tried to connect to the WLAN at home, but I can't seemed to make it work.
First, I search WLAN and found the connection name, clicked it and input the WEP key. I'm very, very sure that I entered the right key as it works with my laptop and my friend's laptop. It kept on saying
"Unable to connect. Shared key authentication failed. Check WEP keys".
Please help.
Hi,
Have you tried creating an "Access point" in your E71 Connection settings for your WLAN AP and adding the WEP key there?
Even thou you're absolutely positively 100% sure that the wep key is correct, I would still start troubleshooting by turning off WEP from your E71 and AP and then trying..
At least I can't think of any other issue that would incur such an error message.. I mean it would obviously be a bit more wider range of possibilities if you had a "WLAN Connection failed" or smthin..

all i can say is that make sure that you really really really have the correct WEP key. because my e71 successfully accepted my wifi WEP key just fine. i only had to enter it once, and it remembers it each time i connect after that.
