My Phone E51 from India is having Product Code:0558469 . When I tried for software updation through Nokia PC Suite / Nokia Software Updater, it says the Version: V 100.34.20, Dt.29-9-2007, RM-244 Nokia E51 (231.01) is up to date. Some of our friends are saying the Latest Version is V 200.34.36, Dt.24.04.2008.
Why Nokia Software Updater is not updating to the latest version V200.34.36, Dt.24.04.2008. Can any friend can give information, please

if you find that there is an update, uninstall Nokia Software Update, reboot and reinstall it. It should work after that.
If there is no software update available for your phone, you will have to change the product code... search the forum, I'm sure you will find how to do it.

Nokia Software Updater will be for two kinds of phones. One is Operator as service provider. In some countries, Operator will provide service for the phones for eg iphone in India is provided by Vodafone and Airtel similarly in some countries nokia phones are sold by operators itself ... These are network enabled phones. For this kind of phones, although there may be latest firmware available globally but it is the service provider who has to provide update for their customers. ie even if the firmware is available only if operator thinks it can be updated for its customer then only new firmware can be updater. Normally in India phones are Generic phones ... customer can opt his own service provider like Airtel, Vodafone, etc., For these kind of phones, if firmware is available, customer can update on his own. So kindly check for your product code and check if any firmware was available, if yes, then you can update your phone firmware.... Best of Luck 😊
