n95 8gb needs to go in for repair

hey all, my camera on my n95 8gb has been broken for some time. when u start the camera up it goes portrait then back to landscape then back to the main menu. U never see through the view finder, just my background when it flips. the weird thing though if you use the barcode programme in office, the camera works there so it must be a software thing.

i have the latest firmware on it and the probelm still existied when i upgraded last, so a firmware update did not fix it, but therein lies the problem, i think that may have voided the warrentee. i bought it on vodafone, and do have insurance, is there a way of getting all of the vodafone rubbish back so i can take it back?? or does it not matter?

thanks for all help.

p.s. it sometime, (i.e every week or so) randomlly turns it self off, so sending it away may not be such a bad thing.

thanks!!!!!

is your insuarance with vodafone themselves , with the next day delivery??

if it is ring them up , tell them you dropped your phone and it keeps switching on and off its not damaged the casing etc but it just keeps switching on and off

they will say blah blah blah and send you out a phone the next day by courier usaully he will have a box with your new phone and a bag for your old phone and charger

give him the old phone and wahey you have a brand new n95 hopefully without the same problem

do not go back to the shop or nokia incase they hook it up to their software and see you have changed the product code as they do not like this one bit and wont be very helpfull mate

itll cost you 25 pounds in a claim but its worth it mate

ive done it with o2 mny a times
