VPN connection to Windows VPN server or certificate warning surpression

Hello together,

my name is Nico Schunter. I'm trying to connect to corporate LAN using Nokia E61 and Symbian, and it's a real pain doing so.

We are using non-valid certificates for SSL (meaning they are not assigned by a Certificate Authority). The Web Gateway is a ISA server.

I'm using Mail for Exchange - due to the certificates there is a warning frequently which CAN NOT BE surpressed or permanentely accepted.

So my idea was to connect via VPN into the corporate LAN. Hell, that's a pain - I'm not able to define policies for VPN, and our Windows VPN server is not acting as a policy server.

So, what policy should I use?

I have three options:

1.) Switch of the certificate warning on the device
2.) Use VPN to connect internally
3.) Throw the device out of the window

For the first two topics - does anyone have a hint? This is really a pain working with symbian.

Kind regards,

Nico
